ABOUT SOPHIE NAVITA | PLANT-BASED FOOD CHEF & TV HOST


Sophie is an Indonesian TV host/actor/singer who is also a certified plant-based professional chef and soon a registered nutritionist. If you don't see her on stage, she is usually teaching healthfood classes or consulting and helping clients improve their diet. A happy mother of two boys.

My “real job” is a TV host, singer and actress here in Jakarta and Singapore. Why real? I have been doing it since I was 9 years old! REAL in my universe. But I must say that lately, that side of my life has to share with #theothersideofmylife that I found five years ago and have grown to love each day… The plant-based holistic chef soon to be holistic nutritionist.

I was trained and certified as a raw vegan chef in the US through Living Light Culinary Institute, CA in 2012 and re-polished my raw gourmet chef skills at Matthew Kenney Academy, CA early 2014. I have also studied at Rouxbe Cooking School as a Plant-based Chef (cooking). As a plant-based chef I am going full circle, raw and cooked. At present I am studying holistic nutrition, looking forward to graduate as an R.H.N (Registered Holistic Nutritionist) and Naturopath.

What I wish I could’ve changed in the past? Hmm… It’s probably the fact that I wasted 5 years in law school and ended up as a non practicing lawyer. But, we all know, that’s not something to be regretful about! I was so clueless in my younger years. And through all that, i learnt that in my life now, as a parent, I should already be able to know my children’s’ interests by the time they are 10 and work with them to help them be their best at whatever they have passion for. So by the time they reach that productive age, they would already be enjoying life and not in constant confusion… Like I was. Haha!

Through my eyes, let’s live a bit much! I invite you to see my work, passion, my thoughts,travels and food making. I believe I will attract other people who are in the same journey as I am, and together, we can support each other, just by knowing that someone out there is doing it too! Juggling as a mother, lover, and just a human being trying to simplify things.

As a woman, you must be a mother of something, right? It could be your projects, your pet, your family, your dreams, etc. So, hey sisters….. Mother that, but let’s remember to mother ourselves first. Taking care of ourselves first before we can take care of others. That’s what this website is all about.
